Hi.
I’m Sanïa, Macedonian born photographer based in Hyogo, Japan. Prior moving here, I used to live in the UAE and the Caribbean.
Every day life in Japan and motherhood are the reasons I dived deep into photography. I have documentary approach when photographing and love capturing the raw, the real and the un-staged.
When I don’t photograph I enjoy a good book, learning Japanese, riding my bike with my daughter, breathing cold and chilly air, stopping at Tully’s for a salted caramel latte (make sure to try it when you are visiting Japan), spotting yellow things, eating cheese or lemon cheese-cake, listening to Coldplay and the sound of mourning doves early in the morning.
Things I don’t enjoy: mayonnaise, cell phones, scary movies.
If you wish to use any of my photographs or get in contact with me, please fill out the contact form here.
