Hi.
I’m Sanïa, Macedonian born photographer based in Hyogo, Japan. I’ve been living in Japan with my family for almost 6 years now. Prior coming here we used to live in the UAE for 7 years and the Caribbean for 1 year.

Every day life in Japan and motherhood are the reasons I dived deep into photography. I have documentary approach when photographing and love capturing the raw, the real and the un-staged.

When I don’t photograph I enjoy a good book, learning Japanese, riding my bike with my daughter, breathing cold and chilly air, stopping at Tully’s for a salted caramel latte (make sure to try it when you are visiting Japan), spotting
yellow things, eating cheese or lemon cheese-cake, listening to Coldplay and the sound of mourning doves early in the morning.

Things I don’t enjoy: mayonnaise, cell phones, scary movies and few more things which I probably shouldn’t mention them here :).

If you wish to use any of my photographs or get in contact with me, please fill out the contact form here.
